A wreath of leaves hangs round the horse's neck while more leaves fall across the sheet and a bare tree stands behind, branches picked out one by one. Around twenty leaves are in the air, and mixing four autumn colours across them at random is what makes the season read; one flat orange makes it look like a pattern instead.
