The mermaid princess sits on a rock with one hand up, her tail curling along the sand, sweets drifting past in the water above her and a pumpkin settled at the base of the rock among seaweed and pebbles. The oddest combination in the collection, and the reason it works: a Halloween page that is entirely underwater, so the usual orange and black have to share with the greens and blues of the sea. The tail scales are the fine work, two close greens laid row by row. From six, nearer twenty minutes. Her own collection is the princess pages.
