Hello Kitty sits up straight on a slatted wooden bench, paws on the armrests, tall flowers blooming on either side and grass underneath. A calm garden scene, a coloring page with nothing complicated in it: the bench goes slat by slat, two browns alternated give it depth at once, the flowers one at a time, and the sky can stay white. A spring afternoon, or a child who likes quiet pictures, is the match, from about four. Ready for something up in the sky? Hello Kitty with a Heart Balloon is floating on a cloud.
