Five cupcakes with swirled frosting line up in front of Hello Kitty, one paw resting on her cheek, on a tiled floor that runs off into the distance. Five cakes means five flavors to invent, usually the first thing kids do: strawberry, chocolate, pistachio, vanilla, blueberry. The floor can stay white or become a checkerboard for the patient ones. Baking afternoons and birthday tables are where this Hello Kitty coloring page belongs, from about five. Swap the bakery for the sand with Hello Kitty at the Beach.
